Dan Hostetler, CFP®
Husband | Father | Founder
dan.hostetler@lpl.com
Dan is married to his wife, Toni, and together they have 2 great kids. He has been blessed with their love and support throughout his career. He understands the immense importance of money when raising a family. Dan hopes to help families ensure their children have options that sound money management may provide.
Dan was born and raised in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania and still serves the community he loves. Some people are just built that way. When he was 6 years old, he was diagnosed with a hernia that required surgery. When the surgeon explained the surgery, Dan replied that he couldn’t have the surgery because “his family needed him”. Not much has changed since. Dan treats his clients as family and remains steadfast in service. When Dan was 16 he completed leadership training at Outward Bound’s Hurricane Island training facility in Maine. This experience embodied Outward Bound’s motto “To serve, to strive and not to yield”. He still adheres to this motto to this day. Dan graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree from West Virgina University. After completing his Undergraduate education, he earned his series 7 securities license in 1987. Dan successfully completed his Certified Financial Planner ™ professional designation in 1990. Shortly after, he founded Professional Money Management, LLC. Today, he is the Founder and Managing Partner.
Dan is extremely passionate about improving the lives of his clients and their families. Whether a client has a million or ten million dollars, he takes a proactive approach to protecting clients and their families from potential “train wrecks” that may change their lives in a blink of an eye.

What are your education and credentials?
I was born and raised in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania. I graduated from Mount Pleasant Area High School in 2015. I received my bachelors degrees in Finance and Accounting over my four year tenure at Saint Vincent College. SVC became my home and the relationships and education I built there proved to be lasting as I began my career in financial planning. I achieved my Certified Financial Planner ™ designation in April of 2023 to further the assistance I can provide to our clients and have been developing relationships at PMM for almost five years.
Why are you passionate about your career?
The passion I have for financial planning first sparked when I sought out financial stability for myself. I had no intention of going into financial planning when I was in high school, or maybe I did but I didn’t understand what it was yet. While working throughout college, I found myself trying to budget and invest here and there where I could. I found I really enjoyed this small sample of financial planning and wanted more. This landed me in the position I am today, where I find most satisfaction in providing a plan and seeing it come to fruition for our clients. I share in their peace, joy and comfort.
What do you like to do for fun?
In my free time, you can typically find me on a beach or a golf course. Lacey and I really enjoy traveling and finding new places together. While the location changes, there’s typically sand under our feet.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
As someone who loves to travel and explore new places, it has to be the ability to fly. Unlike most, I enjoy getting on an airplane because of the unlimited possibilities. Imagine being able to pick up and be somewhere new in moments, seeing the sites of the world from above and the unprecedented freedom that comes with it.

What are your education and credentials?
I graduated from Mount Pleasant Area High School in 2016 and pursued a degree in Finance with a specialization in Investment Management at Saint Vincent College. In 2020, I earned my bachelors degree from Saint Vincent College. I began my professional career with Professional Money Management in July of 2020. I have successfully passed the SIE, Series 7, Series 66 and Insurance License Exam. I am a junior partner at the firm and serve as the Operations Manager running day-to-day business.
Why are you passionate about your career?
I am deeply passionate about my career because I believe in empowering individuals to pursue financial security and confidence. Guiding people through the complexities of managing their finances, I strive to create tailored strategies that align with their unique goals.
What do you like to do for fun?
I enjoy spending time with my fiancé Brooke and our dog Milly. We love going for walks together and staying active. Whether it’s working out or playing golf with friends, these activities keep us busy and happy. Milly adds a lot of fun to our outings with her playful energy. These moments together create great memories that I really treasure.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
If I could possess any superpower, it would undoubtably be teleportation. Given my hectic lifestyle, the ability to instantly transport to various places would greatly simplify my life. Most days though, you’d likely find me teleporting straight to the beach.

Why are you passionate about your career?
I’ve been around the family business ever since I could remember. I know many of our clients personally and care for them like my own family. In a way, investing and finance is in my blood. Every day in the office with my friends and family is a day well spent.
What do you like to do for fun?
I’m a huge fan of music. I love to play guitar and concerts with my friends and family is always a good time. Besides that, I love movies and cinema.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
I’ve always thought telekinesis would be neat. Something similar to the force from Star Wars. At it’s very best it would be helpful, and at the very least be a cool party trick.
